Nigerians, who were earlier made to understand that the President's 2-week annual leave was an occasion for the President to ruminate more deeply on the impacts of his economic policies on the populous African country are eagerly looking forward to a revamped attention to the pressing issues of pervasive hunger in the land as President Tinubu returned to the country over the weekend.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Abuja after a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom and France respectively
OTN News gathered that his flight, an A330 jet, landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at around 7:20 pm on Saturday.
Welcoming him at the airport were Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, along with other top Government officials.
Tinubu initially traveled to the UK and later proceeded to Paris on October 11 for what was described as “an important engagement,” according to his Senior Special Assistant on Political and other Matters, Ibrahim Masari.
OTN News further gathered that as the Nigerian President returns to the country, a cross section of Nigerians have expressed indifference towards towards the news of his return to the country as they continue to ventilate their opinions about the pangs and pains occasioned by fuel price hike, food price inflations and dwindling fortunes of the Naira allegedly occasioned by the Presidents removal of fuel subsidy and other tough economic policies of his administration
