President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Nigerian security forces to launch a full scale manhunt for the terrorists responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji market in Niger State, where no fewer than 30 people were killed while several others were abducted.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that Tinubu gave the directive which mandates the Chief of Degence staff, the combined team of the country security forces including the Military, Police and the State Security Service to track down the perpetrators and ensure the immediate rescue of all kidnapped victims on Sunday in a press statement by the president’s media aide, Bayo Onanuga.
The statement reads, “These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must, therefore, face the full consequences of their criminal actions," adding that, “No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down. They, and all those who aid, abet, or enable them in any form, will be caught and brought to justice.”
OTN News further reports that the President’s order is coming after terrorists launched a deadly strike in a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State on Sunday, killing nearly 40 persons while several others were reportedly abducted during the deadly attack.
