Loan: Ogun Police Arrests Man For Attempting to Commit Su!Cide at MFM Church

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 29-year-old man, identified as, Victor Kalu, for attempted suicide at the premises of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) in Ibafo area of the state.
OTN News further reports as gathered that, the incident occurred late Friday night at about 10:45 p.m., when the suspect was caught trying to hang himself from an electric pole.
According to police source, the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the church apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police at about 10:10 a.m. on Saturday.
OTN News further gathered that, Kalu, a resident of Plot 7, Oluwa Sesan Street, Ejigbo Road, Ikotun, Lagos State, confessed during interrogation that he attempted to end his life due to mounting financial pressure from a loan he obtained from an online bank.
“He said the lender had threatened him to repay the loan, and with no hope of getting the money, he decided to hang himself on the electric pole at the church premises,” the police sources said.
The source, further added that Police detectives visited the scene, recorded statements from the complainant and the suspect, and took photographs for documentation.
The command, however, said that the suspect is in custody and the case is under investigation.
