Lion Shafih Adeyemi Amusa Takes Over As New Emperor, Empire Section, Abeokuta Sports Club

Lion Alhaji Shafih Adeyemi Amusa has been inaugurated as the new Emperor of the Empire Section of Abeokuta Sports Club alongside his new Deputy Emperor, Engr.Muritala Adekunle and other Executive members.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the inaguration of the new Emperor took place on Saturday amidst great social camaraderie at the Oba Lipede Garden of Abeokuta Sports Club with the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola and a catalogue of prominent Nigerians in attendance.
In his acceptance speech, Lion Alhaji Shafih Adeyemi Amusa who noted that "the Section has had Emperors at different times who contributed in one way or the other to shape the landscape and history of the Section to become what it is today" pledged to work assiduously with his Deputy Emperor and all members of his Executive team to move the section to a significantly greater height under his leadership.
OTN News further reports that the President of Abeokuta Sports Club, Prince Seni Ogunyemi, distinguished executive members of the club as well as past leaders of the Abeokuta Sports Club.graced the inauguration ceremony.
Other prominent Nigerians who graced the ocassion were: former Nigerian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Sarafa Tunji Ishola, the grand patron of the club, Chief Engr.Mutiu Owolabi Adebowale, the Patron of the club, Agbaakin Taiwo Adeoluwa, the Matron of the club, Chief Mrs.Khadijat Adebisi Edionseri.
The inaguration ceremony attracted high profile individuals like the father of the day, Chief Kolawole Akinyele, mother of the day, Hon.Adijat Motunrayo Adeleye, the Chairman ofvthe day, Chief Adewale Adesina, the Chief Launcher at the event Chief Sunday Babatunde Ajileye(SIB).with the Ogun state Commissioner for Forestry, Hon.Taieo Oludotun, Hon.Yemi Adelani, Alhaji Taoheed Adelaja Awodele, Alhaja Baliqis Abeni Shibayo and Lion Thomas Aregbesola as a special guests of honour.
Popular Ogun State based Fuji Music star, Alhaji Sefiu Alao popularly known as Baba Oko thrilled the gathering to melodious music.
