OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Adegeye Dayo, son of popular Nigerian legendary musician, King Sunny Ade, who doubles as his manager, has debunked the rumours flying over the internet that the King of World Beats, King Sunny Ade was kidnapped.
OTN News further reports that Dayo who debunked this in a brief statement, noted that KSA has been attending shows and he is safe and sound, making it known that there is no kind of kidnap.
OTN News observes that this is following claims by Sunny Ade's daughter, Damilola, that the musician has been kidnapped by some set of people working for him with one Dayo who happens to be the musician’s son and manager, allegedly spearheading the kidnap.
Damilola also explained that Dayo and his cohorts kept Sunny Ade away from his family members and all efforts to reach him have proven abortive.
However, Dayo, debunking the allegation, said, “we want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound,”
Adegeye emphasized “there is no truth to the kidnapping rumor, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.”
Subsequently, Adegeye reassured fans and well-wishers that the King of World Beats, King Sunny Ade, is not abducted or kidnapped by anyone, adding that the Adegeye family and King Sunny Ade’s team are working diligently to put an end to the rumor and protect his reputation.
The public can be rest assured that King Sunny Ade is in good health and spirits, and his focus remains on his music and legacy, Dayo added.
