Jubilations as Ogun Pays End-of-Year Bonus to Workers

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that the Ogun State Government has announced that it has payed the end-of-the-year salary bonuses to its workforce as part of measures to reward dedication and boost morale among public servants.
OTN News further reports as gathered that the development which was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the State Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, said that the gesture is aimed at appreciating workers for their contributions to the growth and development of the state.
Onasanya described public servants as reliable and dependable partners in the “Building Our Future Together” agenda of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration, urging them to remain committed to advancing the state’s developmental goals.
According to him, the bonus, which is a yearly tradition under the current administration, reflects the government’s sustained commitment to the welfare and well-being of its workforce.
“The bonus is designed to reward workers for their dedication and commitment throughout the year. It also acknowledges the critical role of public servants in driving the government’s Building Our Future Together agenda,” Onasanya states.
He added that the payment cuts across all categories of state government employees, underscoring an inclusive approach to staff motivation and the promotion of effective service delivery across ministries, departments and agencies.
Many workers described the payment as timely, noting that it comes at a period when household expenses usually increase.
They said that the bonus will help them settle outstanding obligations and adequately prepare for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The workers, however, expressed appreciation for the early payment of the December 2025 salary, which they said has eased financial pressure and boosted morale across the state’s public service.
