OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that in order to fulfill promises made in a campaign rally, the governor of osun state, Ademola Adeleke has appointed a puff-puff seller, Oluwatosin Adejumo, as a chef at the state's government house and offered her a scholarship to further her studies.
OTN News further reports that the governor who disclosed this on his official X handle, formerly Twitter, over the weekend, said that Adejumo story is a powerful reminder that hard work and dedication never go unnoticed.
According to the governor, "A few days ago, I met Ms. Oluwatosin Adejumo… during the rally where organised labour in Osun State, in collaboration with other unions, endorsed the work we are doing and declared their support for my second term.”
"Today, I fulfilled my promise by officially presenting her appointment letter as one of our Government House chefs. Beyond her employment, I have also offered her a scholarship up to the Master’s level, should she choose to further her education.”
“Her story is a powerful reminder that hard work and dedication never go unnoticed. My administration will continue to recognize and uplift excellence wherever we find it," Adeleke added.
OTN News recalls that a video shared by Adeleke some days ago, showed him buying all of Adejumo’s puff-puff with N50,000 during a rally organised by labour in Osun State, in collaboration with other unions, who endorsed the work he is doing and also declared their support for his second term.
OTN News further recalls that Adeleke thereafter engaged her in a brief conversation about her catering skills and instructed his aides to collect her contact details.
However, OTN News gathered that Adejumo holds a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) and also has professional catering skills.
