Gateway Games Medals Table: Bayelsa, Oyo, Lagos, Take Early Lead

After the first three days of scintillating actions across the various venues at the National Sports Festival, OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Bayelsa, Oyo and Lagos states are taking an early lead on the official medals table at the National Sports Festival after all rounds of Games at the end of the Day 3.
As gathered from the official medals table of the National Sports commission ( NSC) validated by the Director General of the Commission, Hon.Bukola Olopade, OTN News reports that Bayelsa state leads the pack with a total of 9 medals of which are, 6 Gold medals , 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal.
Ranking closely behind Bayelsa is Oyo state, with a total of six medals, out of which 4 are Gold ,1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
Lagos places 3rd on the medal table after Tuesday"s round of Games with 3 Gold , 4 silver and 3 bronze medals.
In fourth position is cross river with only 3 Gold medals while Rivers state completes the top five with 2 Gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal.
Meanwhile, the Invited Junior Athletes, (IJA) newly integrated into the Games are surely punching above their weights occupying the 6th position with 2 Gold medals , 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.
However, the defending Champions of the Games, Delta state, ranks 7th place on the medals table as at close of rounds across the games at end of the day 3.
