FUNAAB Commends Senator Salisu for Road Construction at 32nd Convocation

Ogun Central Senatorial district Senator, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu has been commended by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) for his instrumental role in the ongoing construction of the crucial FUNAAB to Alabata road.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the public commendation came during the university's 32nd convocation ceremony last Saturday Saturday, while the Senator Ogun Central Senatorial District who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, featured as the guest of honour at the university.
While acknowledging the significant contribution of the Ogun Central Senatorial district Senator towards the development of the Abeokuta based Federal University, he was praised for his efforts in facilitating the development of the vital infrastructural project.
In his response to the commendation by the University community, Senator Salisu assured the audience of his continued support for the university and its surrounding communities, emphasizing his broader vision for the development of the region.
OTN News further reports that the Pro-Chancellor, HRM Oba Rasheed Olabomi, also commended Senator Salisu's contributions to the university and his senatorial district.
Representing Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Salisu called upon universities in Ogun State to become integral parts of the state's community and promised to foster partnerships that enhance educational infrastructure and improve the quality of life for all residents.
The ceremony was attended by notable guests, including HRM Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egbaland; HRM Prof. Saka Adelola Matemilola, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom; and HRM Oluyalo Otileta VII. Representatives from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the university's visitor, as well as the Minister of Education, Dr. Murufu Olatunji Alausa, and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, were also present at the event.
OTN News recalls that the construction of the FUNAAB Alabata road project has been a long-standing priority for FUNAAB, of which the efforts of Senator Salisu's have been crucial in bringing this vital infrastructure to fruition.
