Former Senate President's Spokesperson, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Loses Wife Aishat Odunayo Olaniyonu Aged 52

The death of the wife of Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu, a former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate, has been announced.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that her passage was announced by her son Oladapo Olaniyonu in an obituary statetement released on Tuesday.
The statement read; " Inalilahi Wa Ina Ilaehi Rajiun: With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we want to announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and sister, Aishat Odunayo Olaniyonu, who passed away this morning, October 14, 2025 (22nd of Rabiul Thaa’ni 1447 AH).
We say Alhamdulillah for a life well lived. She was 52 years old.
“We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure who say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” (Q2: Vs. 155-156)
She is survived by her husband, Alhaji Yusuph Olaniyonu, her children, Oladapo, Oladipo and Oladepo, her aged mother and siblings.
Meanwhile, condolence messages have continued to pour in to the family of Nigerian lawyer and editor, who was former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President of the Senate from different quarters ahead of the burial of his deceased wife.
Many people have expressed shock about the demise of Mrs.Aishat Odunayo Olaniyonu, recounting how she stood firmly with her husband during his own recent surreal medical travails openly narrated to call attention to some anomalies in the Nigerian medical care delivery system.
