EGBALAND MOURNS: Foremost Nigerian Industrialist Chief Olatunde Abudu Passes on Aged 96

Egbaland mourns as renowned elder statesman, foremost industrialist, philantropist and Egba traditional chieftain, the Mayegun of Egbaland, Chief Olatunde Ayinla Abudu, has passed away at the age of 96.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News gathered that the death of the patriachal figure occurred in the early hours of Sunday, June 9, 2025.

Chief Abudu, a respected patriarch, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle, was widely admired for his contributions to education, philanthropy, and civic development over several decades.

Janazah prayers in honour of the late Chief held at 4:00 PM on Monday at Nobel House College where he was until his death, the Grand Patron of the school.

He is survived by a large family and a legacy of integrity, service, and leadership.
