Democracy Day 2025: Tinubu Confers National Honours on Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana, Others (See Full List)

As part of moves towards deepening democracy in Nigeria and recognising the significant contributions of individuals towards democratic struggles, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred national honours on Nobel laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka, human rights lawyer and Senoir Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, and a roll call of distinguished Nigerians.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN News reports that the Nigerian President announced the list on Thursday during his June 12 address to a joint session of the National Assembly in Abuja, the Gederal Capital Territory.

2.Prof. Humphrey Nwosu: Former NEC chairman, awarded CON
3.Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu: Veteran military officer, awarded CON
Meanwhile, the presidency has apologised to Nigerians over the erroneous mention of the names of two prominent Nigerians who are still active and alive under the Post Humous Honours category.
The concerned individuals are: Pa Reuben Fasoranti and Dr. Edwin Madunagu.
