Dapo Abiodun Calls for Public Support As Ogun Sets to Face Kwara at Gateway Games Final Football Match on Tuesday

As fixtures for the final football matches in the ongoing National Sports Festival scheduled to take place on Tuesday at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta emerge with Ogun the host state, set to battle against Kwara State, Ogun State Governor has called on Ogun people to troope out to cheer Team Ogun to clinch the Football Gold Medal at the Games.
OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN (News) reports that the appeal for public solidarity towards viewing the final match fixtures was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Ogun State Governor on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, on Monday.
According to the statement, while the final of the female category football match comes up by 4 pm, the male category will be played at exactly 6 p.m
Prince Dapo Abiodun, who extended his invitation to grace the occasion to members of the public, appealed to all sports lovers in the state to troope out in their numbers to watch the quality game of interest.
The statement added that Governor Dapo Abiodun and his cabinet members are scheduled to be at the event in the cheering company of all friends of the government among others.
The statement reads, "This is to inform the general public that the final match of the female and male categories will hold tomorrow, Tuesday, at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto, Abeokuta.
"We, therefore, enjoin lovers of football in the state and beyond to come down and have a state of good football match, as dignataries are expected to grace the occasion, including the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and all his cabinet members."
He emphasized that the festival has so far showcased remarkable sporting talents across different disciplines and urged residents and visitors to show support for the finalists by attending the closing matches.
Concluding, Akinnade saud, “This final football match is not just about the competition—it’s a celebration of unity, excellence, and sportsmanship. It promises to be entertaining and inspiring."
