OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports as gathered that, the world football governing body, FIFA, has cleared Portugal captain, whom is widely refered to as Greatest of All Time (GOAT), Cristiano Ronaldo, from serving the two games ban placed on him after he picked up a straight red card for elbowing an Irish player while playing against Ireland in a qualifier game.
OTN News further reports as gathered that, FIFA disclosed this after the Al-Nassr player, Ronaldo, first served one of the three game suspension when he was absent in Portugal’s 9-1 win over Albania.
OTN News observes that after serious debates and official observations by the football body, FIFA said Ronaldo can feature in the European nation’s first two games in the upcoming World Cup.
“If Cristiano Ronaldo commits another infringement of a similar nature and gravity during the probationary period, the suspension set out in the disciplinary decision shall be deemed automatically revoked and the remaining two matches must be served immediately” FIFA stated.
