Bayo Ojulari Takes Charge as NNPC CEO, Vows to Build on Kyari’s Legacy

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that Bayo Ojulari has officially assumed office as the new Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), marking the beginning of a new chapter for the state owned energy company.
OTN News further reports that the company’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, who disclosed this in a statement, said that the transition was sealed at a brief but symbolic handover ceremony held at the NNPC Towers on Friday.
According to him, Ojulari, a seasoned industry professional, praised his predecessor, Mele Kyari, for his pivotal role in transforming the company and serving the nation with distinction.
Furthermore, he said that Ojulari, pledged to consolidate on the strides made under Kyari’s leadership and drive the company to greater heights.
“The targets before us are significant, but I am confident that with the support of the management and staff, as well as the guidance of Mr. Kyari, we will achieve and exceed them,” Ojulari said.
Meanwhile, in his farewell remarks, Kyari congratulated Ojulari and expressed gratitude to the company’s workforce for their unwavering support throughout his tenure.
He assured his successor of his continued support, declaring, “I am just a call away.”
OTN News observes that the change in leadership comes at a critical time for NNPC Ltd as it continues its transformation into a fully commercial entity in line with the Petroleum Industry Act.
