Ahead of the Asakanran Ibese Day 2024, scheduled to hold on Sunday, 8th December, 2024, at UAMC, Eleja Primary School, Ibese, Ogun state, the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated the traditional ruler of Ibese land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, Arole Asakanran, Olokojobi III, the Aboro of the Ancient Ibese Land and the entire sons and daughters of Ibese land at home and abroad.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA OTN News reports that the governor in his congratulatory message, extends his warm greetings and heartfelt wishes and that of his family and Government of Ogun State to the Royal father, Chiefs and all progenies of Ibese Land, noting that the state government is solidly committed to supporting the fast growing Industrial land of Ibese.  

"As Governor of Ogun State, it is my greatest pleasure to join the entire good people of Ibese in welcoming the guests to this auspicious occasion, while specialty congratulating Kabiesi for being the rallying point and motivator of this great festival."

The governor therefore prayed that as the flourishing land of Ibese welcomes home again, illustrious sons and daughters of the soil for this year's Asakanran Ibese Day, tagged: Festival of Peace and Progress, utmost peace and tranquility will envelope the entire length and breadth of the land.

OTN News recalls that the Asakanran Ibese Day is an occasion that brings together indigenes, friends and well-wishers from near and far, is a celebration that has always been a cultural extravaganza, which remind the people of Ibese of their distinct origin. It is a time of unity, reflection and pride in the values that define the Ibese People. The Festival serves as a vital platform for fostering sense of belonging, encouraging community development, and showcasing the unique identity of this historical land

In an official response to the Governor's felicitations message, the Director of Media and Public Affairs, The Palace of Aboro of Ibese Land Ibese, Yewa North, Ogbeni Ajibode Abd'kabir, expressed profound gratitude to the state government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun for the good wishes and support towards the cultural event.

"On behalf of the entire good people of Ibese land, we quite appreciate our performing and friendly Governor for the show of love, and commitment to promoting culture and traditional values and ensuring our dear Gateway State becomes a sustainable tourism destination. We pray that may God continue to bless and accept the heart desires of our dearest Excellency always. Thank you your Excellency!", the royal spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, OTN News gathered that the 2024 Asakanra Day is billed to be grand and far more superlative than previous editions as Nigeria's leading Fuji Music icon, King Dr.Saheed Osupa has hit social media handles with a video of his forthcoming live performance at the Asakanra Day 2024, calling on all sons and daughters of Ibese land at home and abroad as well as his fans across the country to join him at the event.

OTN News further observes that the traditional ruler of Ibese, HRM Oba Rotimi Oluseyi Mulero, who is unarguably a young and vibrant Yoruba monarch, has been at the fore front of propagating the Ibese Day on his personal Facebook page and other Royal social media handles created by him, this leading his subjects by his good example of being an ambassador and influencer for Ibese land.
