OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that amid insecurity, economic hardship, and national grid collapsed in the country, the President of the federal republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, who left the country for Europe on a working vacation on September 4, has told French President Emmanuel Macron that he is enjoying his stay in France.

OTN News further reports that the president comment was disclosed in a video circulated by his media aide, Dada Olusegun.

OTN News observes that Tinubu, in the video circulated, spoke about his vacation experience when he met Mr Macron and responded affirmatively when asked if he was enjoying his stay in the Western European country.

“Are you enjoying your time in France?” Macron asked. In response, Tinubu said, “Oh yes,” with a smile.

OTN News further observes that Dada captioned the video shared on X over the weekend, with “President Tinubu’s working visit to President Macron of France, where matters of mutual interests were discussed."

However, OTN News recalls that days ago, former Anambra State Governor, and president candidate under the umbrella of Labour party, (LP), Peter Obi faulted Tinubu’s frequent foreign trips amid the country’s insecurity and economic hardship.

OTN News further recalls that Obi, who faulted the president frequent's trips in a statement on September 5, wrote, “It does look like Mr President is running away from Nigeria at every slight opportunity. And one would wonder why so much of his two years in office has been spent on holidays or away from the very country he was elected to preside over.”
