Access Bank Boss Wigwe Dies in Helicopter Crash in California

A chopper transporting Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, has crashed, killing him as well as about five others in California, United States.
Sources said the chopper was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night of February 10, 2024 at approximately 10.12 pm.
The US government confirmed all on board dead as no survivors had been found as at Saturday morning.
The FAA identified the helicopter as a Eurocopter EC 130.
Although there are speculations that the son and wife Herbert Wigwe as well as Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group) were aboard the crashed chopper, US aviation authorities have not confirmed the identities of passengers on the ill-fated chopper.
The FAA and the National Transport Safety Board are still investigating the crash.
