Abuja Comes Alive As National Green Energy and Innovation Hackathon Commences Today

Nigeria's Capital Territory comes alive today as young innovators from across the country and beyond converge on the Centre for Climate and Smart Agriculture (CCSA), Abuja, to pitch groundbreaking solutions in green technology, renewable energy, and climate innovation, an activity marking the commencement of the 3rd Edition of the Technology Ecosystem Dialogue (TED) 2025.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that the organisers of the hackathon announced that the event is not just a competition but a veritable platform to discover, empower, and spotlight Nigeria’s brightest minds who are building sustainable solutions to drive our energy future.

According to the founder of Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN), team lead of the event, Mr. Abu Andrew, the core essence of the hackaton is to mobilize Nigeria's innovators to come together for "shaping a future where technology meets sustainability, creating pathways for climate action, business growth, and national development."

Mr. Andrew further revealed other details of the hackaton as follows;Venue: Centre for Climate and Smart Agriculture, Abuja.Time: 11:00 amDate: Thursday, 25th September, 2025.

He urged tech enthusiasts, innovators, and creatives across the country and the world at large to "Stay tuned as we showcase transformative ideas that will redefine green energy in Nigeria!"

OTN News recalls that the Technology Ecosystem Dialogue (TED) 2025, as previously reported, is a 2-in-1 tech event focused on Green Technology and Energy Solutions geared towards the attainment of relevant Sustainable Development Goals as clearly articulated by the United Nations.

The event is co-hosted by the National Assembly, Rural Electrification Agency under the Federal Ministry of Power with multiple development focused partners.
