OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that, an Africa’s leading digital media event, New Media Conference (NMC), has unveiled the NMC 100 List 2025, celebrating 100 individuals and organizations driving innovation and influence across Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
OTN News further reports as gathered that, the announcement was made at the 10th edition of the conference in Lagos, with the theme, “A Decade of Disrupting New Media: Shaping Africa’s Future.”
The categories according to NMC are:
Social Media & Communities: Uche Pedro (BellaNaija), Nkem Onwudiwe (Her Network), Oluwatosin Olaseinde (Money Africa), Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Mr. Macaroni were recognized for fostering online communities that inspire and educate millions.
Digital Journalism: Investigative outlets The Cable, Premium Times, and journalist Fisayo Soyombo earned accolades for impactful reporting in the digital era.
Content Creation & Entertainment: Influencers and entertainers like Broda Shaggi, Nons Miraj, Tomike Adeoye, Funke Akindele, Mark Angel Comedy, and Taaooma were celebrated for reshaping online entertainment.
Tech Innovation: Platforms such as Iroko TV and Techpoint Africa were lauded for redefining media consumption in Africa.
Marketing & PR Excellence: Agencies including ID Africa and Wild Fusion were recognized for revolutionizing brand communication.
Podcasting Influence: Popular shows like I Said What I Said and Off Air with Gbemi & Toolz, along with media personalities Joey Akan and Toke Makinwa, were highlighted for their audio storytelling impact.
Speaking at the event, the convener of NMC, Oluwatosin Ajibade, stated: “the NMC 100 Disruptors represent bold visionaries shaping Nigeria’s media landscape. Disruption isn’t about breaking things; it’s about building better futures.”
