Certain Women Yamah-Oshoffa (CERWOYAN) Inagurated at CCC Ibara Cathedral, Donates Food Items, Other Materials

In a move towards advancing the noble cause of selfless, sacrificial giving to meet the needs of members of the Celestial Church of Christ like it was done in the days of the early Apostles of Christ and the days of Revd. SBJ Oshoffa, the Certain Women in Celestial (CERWOYAN) has inaugurated the CERWOYAN League Abeokuta branch at CCC Ibara Cathedral, Abeokuta.

Speaking during the inaguration of the CERWOYAN league in Abeokuta during the Sunday service, the Shepherd-in-Charge, CCC Ibara Cathedral, Venerable Superior Evangelist Albeet Popoola (Pope) acknowledged that he has personally experienced the benevolent activities of CERWOYAN, hence his favourable disposition towards the inaguration of the welfarist church initiative.

The President of CERWOYAN League, Prof. Oluremi Ruth-Serah Aisida (JP, GMPC, MPIC), announced that the CCC CERWOYAN league is an initiative targeted at grooming Celestial Women into apostolic volunteers who will revive the culture of love, sacrificial giving to the widows, the orphans and those who have less than others within the church, stating that the vision is mainly to cater for the welfare of Celestial members as preached and practised by the founder of the church, Revd. SBJ Oshoffa. 

The octogenarian Professor joined by her team of CERWOYAN members from different parts of the country also solicited membership of CERWOYAN from members of the CCC Ibara Cathedral, noting that the essence of inauguration of the league in Abeokuta is to further expand the frontiers of the vision to other parishes within Abeokuta metropolis and Ogun State, which accomodates the international heaqdquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.

In the same way and manner by which the early church committed the decacons chosen to coordinate the welfare initiative of the early church, the entire congregation led by the Shepherd-in-Charge, prayed for Prophetess Florence Bola Ohu (MC,JP), who was unanimously appointed as the premier Captain of CERWOYA in Abeokuta.

OPEN TELEVISION NAIJA (OTN) News reports that there were visible smiles on the faces of beneficiaries of the church welfare programme that was thereafter administered after the Sunday church service, as donated materials pooled together by CERWOYAN members from Lagos, Oyo State, Rivers State and Ogun state were graciously distributed to members including non-members of the church who came to the church service to solicit assistance.
